Presentation Practice That Pays: The 4-Step Script Warm-Up Routine

You can have perfect ads, an ideal audience, and packed events — but if your presentation falls flat, none of it converts.

The truth is: the top-performing Medicare agents don’t wing it. They practice like pros. And the results?

✅ More booked discovery calls

✅ Stronger audience trust

✅ Higher event ROI

In this guide, we’re giving you the 4-step script warm-up routine used by high-converting agents inside the Proven Medicare 101 Sales System.

The 4-Step Warm-Up Routine for Medicare Presenters

✅ Step 1: Rehearse with Energy — Out Loud, 10x

Read your script out loud, with full voice and energy, at least ten times.

Don’t just read it. Perform it. Use your tone, hand gestures, and presence — just like you would at the real event.

🎙️ Sample Script Opening:

"Hi everyone, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a licensed health insurance broker here in [Your Area]. I help folks like you understand Medicare so you can make informed decisions without all the stress and confusion."

💡 Pro tip: This is your audition for their trust. They won’t trust someone who sounds unsure, monotone, or robotic.

✅ Step 2: Mirror Practice & Mock Practice with Family and Friends

Start with mirror practice. Watch your eye contact, posture, and gestures. Smile and stay engaged, even when it's just you. Do this 10 more times.

Then present to a friend, family member, or team member using your actual materials. Ask for honest feedback:

Was the message clear?

Did I sound confident?

Would you trust me to guide your Medicare decisions?

💡 Pro Tip: Use your hands. Smile. Stay engaged. If you look unsure in the mirror or feel unsure with a friend, your audience will feel it too.

✅ Step 3: Record Yourself and Analyze

Set up your phone or computer and record a full mock presentation from start to finish.

Watch the playback and take notes:

Where do you stumble?

Where does your energy drop?

Are you speaking too fast or too slow?

💡 Bonus Tip: Download Zoom for free and use it to record your presentation if you’re on your computer. Easy and effective.

🎙️ Field Insight: “Even after I thought I had it nailed, I kept watching my recordings. I caught little things that made a big difference — and my event close rate went way up.”

✅ Step 4: Lock In Your Opening and Closing

Your first 30 seconds and your final call-to-action make or break your momentum.

Practice them until they feel confident and natural. This anchors your presentation and gives you control — even if the middle gets shaky.

🎙️ Example Opening:

“Hi everyone, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a licensed health insurance broker here in [Your Area].”

🗣️ Example Closing:

“That wraps up our Medicare 101 presentation. I’d love your feedback on the short survey in your folder, and I’ll be coming around to help you with next steps if you’re ready.”

OR, "That concludes our Medicare 101 Education presentation. In your folder, you’ll find a brief survey, and I would greatly appreciate your feedback on it. That’s the only information I’m asking for—everything else I’ve provided is yours to keep. I’ll now come around to meet with each of you, and I look forward to scheduling a time to discuss how I can help you navigate your unique Medicare needs.”

💡 Pro Tip: Your open sets the tone. Your close drives the conversion.

BONUS STEP: Watch Your Game Tape After Events

Top athletes do it. Great speakers do it. So should you.

After each event, place your phone beside you and record yourself only (not the audience). Later, watch it back.

Ask yourself:

Did I build momentum?

Did I pause effectively?

Was my Q&A handled confidently?

🎙️ Real-Life Tip: “This is your business. Just like athletes watch game footage, you need to watch yourself if you want to improve. Keep getting better, and your event ROI will follow.”
